All eyes will be on Nigeria’s talented Under17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, as they seek a fourth world title at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), live on your World of Champions. The U17 World Cup remains the continents biggest source of world titles, 5 in total, 3 from the Golden Eaglets and 2 from Ghana’s Black Starlets.
Along with the Eaglets, Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, the Little Elephants from Ivory Coast and Morocco’s Atlas Lions have the task of bringing back to the continent a sixth title.
SuperSport will broadcast the tournament in its entirety and in HD.
The Eaglets have a rich history in the competition after victories in 1985, 1993 and 2007, respectively.
Interestingly, all their victorious have come in Asia (China, Japan and South Korea). Could it be fourth time lucky?
The Manu Garba led side will have to first navigate their way out of a tricky Group F which consists of defending champions, Mexico, Sweden and Iraq before we can start contemplating a fourth title and Africa’s fifth
